Kathrin Möslein holds the Chair for Information Systems I - Innovation & Value Creation (Wi1) and is a member of the Center for Management, Technology, and Society (CMTS) at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). In 2016, she joined FAU’s Executive Board as Vice President for Research. She is also a research professor and academic director of the Center for Leading Innovation and Cooperation (CLIC) at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL). She has been researching, teaching, and consulting in the field of strategic innovation and innovation systems since the early 1990s. Her current research focuses on innovation, cooperation, and leadership systems. Her teaching covers topics like innovation design, interactive value creation, as well as the implementation of innovation strategies and technologies as well as leadership systems in organizations.
She is a founding member and Fellow of the European Academy of Management (EURAM). Currently she holds a number of positions such as: Vice President of the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM), member of the German Rectors’ Conference’s Standing Committee on Transfer and Cooperation, member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Cambridge Service Alliance (CSA) at the University of Cambridge and the Peter Pribilla-Stiftung at TUM. She has also held various other roles, including as associate director of the Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM) at the London Business School, as dean of research at FAU’s School of Business and Economics, as a member of the Business School Panel of the UK Research Excellence Framework (UK REF), and as Vice President of the European Academy of Management (EURAM). In addition, she is a member of several scientific and professional organizations in the field of strategic management and information systems.
