Competitive Advantage in the Digital Economy: call for submissions to CADE 2019 in Venice

In the course of the past years, the CADE conference has assembled service researchers in Venice to discuss the digital economy, including leading scholars such as Steve Vargo, Bob Lusch, Chris Voss, Ola Henfridsson, Haluk Demirkan and many others. #CADE2019 will continue the tradition this year from May 20 to May 22. Special focal areas will be smart service systems, personal data and cyber-security. Submission of extended abstracts is open until February 9th.

The Open Service Lab (OSL) tends to initiate and shape research in its focused areas service science and future of work. Located at the chair of Information Systems – Innovation & Value Creation at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and in joint collaboration with the Service Factory of the Fraunhofer SCS in Nuremberg.

The aim of Open Service Lab is to bring experts and company partners in service science, pioneers in service innovation as well as interdisciplinary research partners together. As a platform for interaction between researchers and practitioners, the Open Service Lab seeks to establish a networking space for key players and to initiate research projects in the field of service and future of work.



Das Open Service Lab (OSL) initiiert und gestaltet Forschung in den Kernthemen Dienstleistung sowie Zukunft der Arbeit. Angesiedelt am Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftsinformatik, insb. Innovation und Wertschöpfung, der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Service Factory des Fraunhofer SCS in Nürnberg werden diese Themen seit 2012 stetig vorangetrieben. 

Das Open Service Lab fokussiert dabei auf die Metropolregion Nürnberg und dient als Plattform für Interaktion und Vernetzung zwischen Forschung und Praxis. Die Ziele des Open Service Lab sind die proaktive partner- und disziplinenübergreifende Initiierung und Anbahnung von Forschungsaktivitäten, die Rückspiegelung relevanter Entwicklungen und Bedarfe aus der Unternehmenswelt an potentielle Fördergeber, sowie die Verankerung der Kernthemen aus der Dienstleistungsforschung sowie Zukunft der Arbeit in den Forschungseinrichtungen und den Unternehmen der Region.
